First Data Terminal Support 

This is a very uncommon error and doesn’t happen very often. An application is trying to run on the device when it’s already on. When this error pops up on the terminal, unplug your terminal and wait 10 seconds, then plug the terminal back in. Be sure when you turn back on to check daily reports and make sure things match up correctly before moving on.

Issue: The terminal is not detecting an internet connection.

Solution: Check the connections on the device and reboot, unplug and plug back in, the terminal to re-establish your internet connection. If this does not correct it the Datawire may be the issue and you will need to contact your service provider for assistance.

To change between lowercase and uppercase letters on your FD100/130/200 terminal, hold Enter (green button) and press ALPHA.

To enable or disable your FD100/130/200 terminal’s modem volume, complete the following steps:

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Select SETTINGS.
3. Select CREDIT.
4. Select VIEW PARMS.
5. Enter the password (May have to contact your service provider for the password) then press Enter (green button).
6. Select LOCAL.
7. Select CHANGE to toggle between Disable/Enable modem volume.
8. To return to the main screen, press Clear (red button) five times.

To configure your FD100/130/200 terminal’s wireless network settings, complete the following steps:

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Tap WiFi.
3. Tap Security.
4. Enter password (you may need to contact your service provider for the password) and select ENTER.
5. Tap the required security type.
6. Tap the required network, then using the keypad, enter the SSID. If you don’t know your network credentials, speak to whoever set up your WiFi network.
7. Press Enter (green button).
8. To apply you settings, tap Yes. The terminal’s WiFi settings are applied after an automatic reboot.

By default you must enter the last four digits of the customer’s card during a transaction. To disable this setting, complete the following actions:

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Select SETTINGS.
3. Select CREDIT.
4. Tap Setup Params.
5. Tap View Params.
6. Enter the password (you may need to contact your service provider) then press Enter (green button).
7. Select System.
8. Select Next until DISPLAY LAST 4 # is displayed.
9. Select CHANGE to toggle between Enable/Disable.
10. To return to the main screen, press Clear (red button) Five times.

To remove the server prompt from your FD100/130/200 terminal, complete the following actions:

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Select SETTINGS.
3. Select CREDIT.
4. Tap View Parms.
5. Enter the password (please contact your service provider for the password) then press Enter (green button).
6. Tap Clerk.
7. Select CHANGE to toggle between Enable/Disable.
8. To return to the home screen, press Clear (red button) five times.

To configure your FD100/130/200 terminal’s static IP address, complete the following steps:

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Tap LAN.
3. Tap Set IP Address
4. Using the keypad, enter the IP address. To enter a period press the Alpha button three times, then press 0.
   • To tab between lines, press Enter (green button) and 9 at the same time.
5. To save the IP address, press Enter (green button).
6. To return to the home screen, press Clear (red button) twice.

You can confirm your FD100/130/200 terminal’s network connection by pinging a known IP address on your Local Area Network (LAN).

1. Select TOOLS.
2. Tap LAN.
3. Tap Ping.
4. Enter a known IP address to ping if one is not already listed.
5. Press Enter (Green button).
6. To return to the home screen, press Clear (red button) three times.
