KEYPAD SHORTCUTS

Func (F)+ MENU will take you to the Quick Menu

Func (F)+ ALPHA will take you to the Tip Menu

Func (F)+ CANCEL will take you to Current Report which will give you access to (1. Last Cust. Rcpt) and (2. Any Receipt)

Func (F)+ CLEAR will take you to Batch Menu

Func (F)+ ENTER will take you to Receipt Copy

Func (F)+ UP will take you to Review

Func (F)+ DOWN will take you to Find (Trans Search)

TERMINAL SLOW/COMM ERROR

If the terminal is running slow, having trouble connecting, or is not always responding immediately to button presses. Please try the following:

1. Check all network, phone, and power cables and make sure that they are securely connected to the terminal and the wall outlets with a cable that is in good condition.

2. Restart the machine by holding down the On / Off button until it turns off, and again until it turns back on.

3. If this does not work, restart their router and/or modem and any other devices between the terminal and their internet connection.

CONTACTLESS MODE
1.Press the MENU button
2.Select OPERATION SETTINGS
3.Enter the password
4.Select PERIPHERALS
5.Enter the password
6.Select EXT CARDRDR
7.Select INTERNAL
8.Cancel back out to the idle screen
     a. An orange light will be lit up at the top of the terminal to indicate that the contactless feature has been enabled.
CUSTOMER RECEIPT
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select OPERATION SETTINGS
3. Select RECEIPT PRINT
4. Enter the password
5. Select CUSTOMER COPY
6. Press the number for the desired PAYMENT TYPE
7. Press 1 for OFF or 2 for ON
ADJUST FONT SIZE
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select OPERATION SETTINGS
3. Select RECEIPT PRINT
4. Enter the password
5. Select FONT SIZE
6. Then select the size from the options on the screen
SCREEN BRIGHTNESS
1. Power cycle the terminal and hold down the MENU button as it boots back up
2. Press the DOWN ARROW one time to bring you to the page containing Option 2 LCD ADJUST
3.Press the DOWN ARROW to lighten the contrast or press the UP ARROW to darken the contrast.
ADD SERVERS
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select MERCHANT SETTINGS
3. Select ADDITIONAL PROMPTS
4. Enter the password
5. Select ON/OFF for Server ID
6. If ON, Enter Server ID #7.Enter Name/Number Associated with Server #
   a. Terminal will continue to prompt additional Servers until filled. Merchant can stop at any time once they have all Servers they need. Terminal will only allow numbers 1-100.
SERVER REPORTS
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select REPORTS
3. Select TIP REPORT
4. Select a specific server or ALL
5. Select the PAYMENT TYPE
6. Select CARD TYPE
7. Select “(ENTER) Yes” to make this your default report or “(CANCEL) No”not to.
AUTOBATCH SETTINGS
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select HOST SETTINGS
3. Enter the password
4. Select AUTODIAL SETUP
5. Input time you want batch to start (military time) and press ENTER
6. Input time you want batch to end (military time) and press ENTER
7.  Input Interval (15) for any unsuccessful batch attempts and press ENTER
MANUALLY CLEAR BATCH/DATABASE
1. Press the MENU button
2. Select SYSTEM SETTINGS
3. Select DATABASE
4. Enter the password
5. Select CLEAR DATABASE
6. Press ENTER to delete the batch
7. Select the payment type who’s batch you want to delete
    a. Options will Include:All, Credit, Debit, and EBT
COMMUNICATION TYPE
To change from IP or Dial, follow these steps:
1.Press the MENU button
2. Select COMMUNICATIONS
3. Enter the password
4. Select MAIN COMMUNICATIONS
5. Select either LAN or DIAL

First thing you will want to check, is if the device has an open batch. If so, batch it out.

Then, you can always try a power cycle to see picks up the download. If not, proceed to the steps below:

Press MENU on Pax S80s, S500s, D210s and S920s (F + 1 ON Pax S300S)

Select SYSTEM SETTINGS

Select APP MANAGEMENT

Password is current date (MM/DD/YYYY)

Select ACTIVATE

Then press RED BUTTON one time

Select APP UPDATE

Terminal should then begin download.

If terminal does not begin download – try clearing database:

Select MENU

Select SYSTEM SETTINGS

Select DATABASE

Select CLEAR DATABASE

Confirm the clear database.

Then try download steps again.

You can check the TID, MID, BIN, Bank Number, Chain Number, Store Number actually in the terminal by doing this:

  • Press the “Menu” key
  • Select Option 4 (Host Settings)
  • Select Option 1 (Host Parameters)
  • Scroll to the options you want to see:
    • BIN
    • Bank Number
    • Chain Number
    • Merchant Number
    • Store Number
    • Terminal Number
    • FCS ID (For EBT)

Unfortunately the password on the terminal can not be disabled. You can change the password to be as few as one numeric character, but you cannot eliminate it completely.

  • Press the Function key
  • Select Option 6 (Tip Menu)
  • Select your desired “Tip” method
    • Scroll Untipped
    • By Invoice
    • By Srvr/clerk#
    • By Trans#
    • By Card Type
    • By Card Num.
  • Select the transaction
  • Input the Tip amount
  • Confirm the Tip amount by pressing “Enter”
  • Press the “Menu” key
  • Select Option 5 ( System Settings)
  • Select Option 2 (Batch Number)
  • Enter the Password
  • Select the EDC Host from the list
    • The current batch number will be displayed
  • Enter the new batch number and press “Enter”
  • Press “Enter” to save the change or “Cancel” to discard the change.

To cancel out the beeping on the terminal, do the following:

  • Press “Menu”
  • Select Option 3 (Operation Settings)
  • Select Option 2 (Buzzer Setup)
  • Select Option 1 (Buzzer Setup)
  • Select “Off”

To view batch history on the terminal, follow these steps:

– Press Menu

– Select Reports

Enter Password

– History Report

Enter Start Batch Date and End Batch Date

– Select All for options or what you would like to view

The batch history will then print the batch total from that day.

To change the date on the terminal, follow these steps:

  • Press the “Menu” key
  • Select Option 5 (System Settings)
  • Select Option 1 (Date/Time Setup
  • Type in the date (MM/DD/YYYY) and press “Enter”
  • Type in the Time (HH:MM:SS) and press “Enter”

To manually settle your batch, do the following:

  • Press the “Function” Key
  • Select Option 2 (Batch)
  • Select Option 1 (Batch Close)

To reprint a receipt in the batch follow these instructions.

– When on the Main Menu, you press Function ( FUNC)

– Scroll down until you see “Reprint” and select that.

This will give you option to reprint last receipt or any receipt in batch.

To reprint other receipt in batch, you will press “Any Receipt”. Select Credit. And type in the transaction number of whichever transaction you needed receipt of and it will print out.

If there is a download available for the terminal and there are no transactions in the terminal then you can simply do a power cycle. Turn the terminal off followed by turning it back on or disconnecting the power and reconnecting it will work as well. The terminal will look for updates and then automatically download any that are available onto the terminal. If the terminal doesn’t automatically do the update you can go into the APP UPDATE section and manually update the terminal. Press the MENU key, then select SYSTEM SETTINGS and then select APP MANAGEMENT. The terminal will prompt you to enter in the password which will then allow you to select APP UPDATE. The terminal will now connect and download any updates in the system. Once downloaded the terminal will reboot followed by returning to the main sales screen.

The Pax S80/ S90/ and S500 terminals holds 1500 transactions.

To change from IP or Dial, follow these steps:

– Press Menu button

– Select Communications

– Select Main Communications

– Select either LAN or Dial

PAX A920 

1. Open the Settings app (Outside of the Broadpos app)

2. Password is pax9876@@ (or 9876)

3. Tap More

4. Tap Cellular Networks

5. Select Access Point Names

6. Tap the top option that usually says ATT NEXTGENPHONE

Under Name, we are going to change ATT Nextgenphone to ATT Broadband

Under APN, we are going to change Nextgenphone to Broadband

Go back to home screen

Swipe down from top of screen

Swipe down from top of screen again

Tap the Cellular Data Icon under Wifi 

Set “Cellular Data” to “On” (should be green)
